Annual Report: By Humans, For Humanity
IISD, 2020
While managing the communications team for the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), I wrote and edited the organization’s 2019–2020 annual report, titled By Humans, For Humanity. The publication highlighted IISD’s research and policy work during a year defined by the global COVID-19 crisis and examined how the pandemic was reshaping priorities for sustainable development.
The report explored how IISD’s work across climate policy, natural resources, economic governance, and sustainable finance was helping governments and institutions respond to global challenges while building more equitable, inclusive, and resilient systems.
As lead writer and editor, I developed the narrative of the report, worked with subject-matter experts across the organization to synthesize complex policy research into accessible language, and ensured that the final publication clearly communicated IISD’s strategic priorities and impact.
